KAPTEIN ROODNAT // playground for the elementary school De Paradijsvogel, Ypenburg (NL)

Kaptein Roodnat, studio de design basé à Amsterdam, a conçu une aire de jeux pour l’école primaire De Paradijsvogel aux Pays-Bas, en envahissant la cour et quelques salles avec plusieurs centaines de mètres d’un tube vert vif et en transformant la structure en différentes propositions de jeux. Marleen Kaptein & Stijn Roodnat ont aussi collaboré au projet « School Zone » à l’Urban Academy de New York avec la Martinez Gallery et se consacrent à des concepts design socialement responsables.

Kaptein Roodnat, based-Amsterdam design studio, designed a playground for the elementary school De Paradijsvogel in The Netherlands, by overrunning the schoolyard and some rooms with several hundred meters of a bright green tube and turning structure into different ways to play. Marleen Kaptein & Stijn Roodnat also contributed to project « School Zone » at Urban Academy of New York with Martinez Gallery and are committed to socially responsible design concepts.

LAURA LJUNGKVIST // follow the line

Follow the Line de Laura Ljungkvist permet aux enfants de faire un long voyage en suivant une ligne presque ininterrompue de la campagne à la ville. C’est rare de voir un livre pour enfants avec un tel graphisme ! Quoiqu’il en soit, pour l’imagination de l’enfant, nous aimons les auteurs qui créent des objets au graphisme ou design minimaliste, aussi bien pour les livres que toutes les choses pour enfants en général.

Follow the Line by Laura Ljungkvist allows kids to take a long journey following an almost continuous linear thread from city to country. We don’t see a book for kids with a such graphic design every day ! Anyway, for the child’s imagination, we really love authors that create objects with minimalist graphics or design, both in books and all kids stuff in general.

JUNIOR GAULTIER // kids clothing collection

Jean-Paul Gaultier lance Junior Gaultier pour l’Automne/Hiver 2010, sa toute première collection de vêtements pour enfants, après avoir signé un accord de licence avec le groupe français Zannier (Little Marc Jacobs, Kenzo Kids, Oxbow, Catimini, Chipie etc…) en Novembre dernier. Le styliste français habillera les filles et garçons de 2 à 14 ans de ses célèbres imprimés, blouses et robes de couture. Hâte de voir la collection en magasin.

Jean-Paul Gaultier launches Junior Gaultier this upcoming Autumn/Winter 2010, his very first kids’ clothing collection, after signing a license agreement with french Zannier Group (Little Marc Jacobs, Kenzo Kids, Oxbow, Catimini, Chipie etc…) in last November. The French fashion designer will dress the girls and boys ages 2 to 14 with his famous prints, smocks and couture dresses. Can’t wait to see the collection in store.
