« Deux gentlemen en train de flâner, laissent leurs ombres s’amuser et prennent vie à l’heure du coucher, lors d’une histoire… » Un mobile beau et amusant pour bébés et enfants conçu par la célèbre marque Suédoise Our Children’s Gorilla, fait à partir de papier recyclé et joliment emballé dans une boîte marron. Adorable !

« Two gentlemen hanging around, let their shadows play and in the evening make them come alive in a bedtime story… » A funny and nice mobile for babies and kids designed by the famous Swedish brand Our Children’s Gorilla, made from recyclable paper and nicely packaged in a brown box. Lovely !

JARMUND/VIGSNAES ARCHITECTURE // oslo international school - © photos : Ivan Brodey

Oslo International School, divisée en jardin d’enfant, école primaire et secondaire, a fait appel aux architectes Einar Jarmund & Håkon Vigsnæs afin de moderniser des espaces existants, remplacer des structures temporaires et établir de nouvelles zones éducatives pour des besoins spécifiques. Un résultat intéressant avec plusieurs espaces définis selon les différents âges et moments de la journée, s’articulant comme un tout cohérent. Voir quelques images et lire toutes les infos ici.

Oslo International School, divided into kindergarten, primary and secondary school, called upon the architects Einar Jarmund & Håkon Vigsnæs for upgrading existing areas, replacing temporary structures and establishing new educational areas for specific needs. An interesting result with several spaces defined according to different ages and daily moments and based as a seamless whole. See some pictures and read all informations here.

BOBO CHOSES // clothes for infants and children

Chez Bobo Choses (designer Espagnol), chaque saison amène une nouvelle histoire, « The Englishman & The Sitting Bull » pour cet Automne-Hiver 09/10 et « The Donkey and the Stars » pour le Printemps-Été 2010. Bonne idée, n’est-ce pas ? Chaque histoire donne ensuite naissance à de jolis vêtements avec des coupes si simples et élégantes que j’adorerais les porter… Mais ce n’est pas tout, chaque vêtement, fabriqué de tissus naturels et confortables, porte une étiquette avec un code vous permettant de voir en ligne avec votre enfant d’où vient le produit et comment votre achat contribue à leur projet d’action sociale. Une autre super idée, non ?! Allez donc voir leurs adorables collections.

At Bobo Choses (Spanish designer), each season brings a new set of stories, « The Englishman & The Sitting Bull » for this Autumn-Winter 09/10 and « The Donkey and the Stars » for Spring-Summer 2010. What a nice idea, doesn’t it ? Then, each story gives birth to beautiful clothes with a so simple elegant cut that I would love wearing myself… But that’s not all, each garments, manufactured with comfortable natural fabrics, bears a label with a code enabling you to see online with your kid(s) where the product comes from and how your purchase contributes to their act social project. Another great idea, no ?! So, check out their lovely collections.

LEITEQ - KLAAS VAN DER MOLEN // boid light ball

Conçu par Leiteq (Dutch designer Klaas Van Der Molen), les boules de lumière Boid interagissent ensemble, clignotent ou changent de luminosité, formant différents motifs. Des capteurs intégrés aux boules détectent d’autres Boids et la lumière environnante, et ajustent ensuite leur luminosité en fonction. Ce qui est intéressant, c’est sans doute de considérer ce jeu comme un produit social et d’amener les propriétaires de Boids à jouer ensemble pour ainsi dévoiler d’autres motifs. Mais que pensez-vous d’un jeu de Pétanque de nuit avec la luminosité des boules changeant en fonction de leur distance au cochonnet ?! Ca m’inspire tout ça.

Designed by Leiteq (designer Néerlandais Klaas Van Der Molen), Boid light balls interact with other Boids, flash or change brightness, displaying various patterns. Sensors integrated into the balls detect other Boids and overall ambient light, and then adjust their brightness accordingly. What’s interesting is undoubtedly to consider this toy as a social product and bring Boid-owners to play together for thus unfolding more patterns. But what do you think about a night Pétanque game with the balls brightness that depends on their distance to jack ?! This appeals to me.

MINISÉRI, COQ EN PÂTE, ZOWIE, BAKKER MADE WITH LOVE // schoolbags 2009-2010

Ca y est ! C’est la rentrée ! Quelques adresses de jolis cartables pour bien commencer l’année : Miniséri, Coq en Pâte, Zowie, Bakker made with love… Mais attention, avant d’être esthétique, le cartable doit être bien adapté à la morphologie de votre enfant, de préférence à larges bretelles et léger (vide : entre 1-2 kg, plein < 10% du poids de l’enfant).

Some addresses of nice schoolbags to start the year well : Miniséri, Coq en Pâte, Zowie, Bakker made with Love… But be careful, first and foremost, the schoolbag has to be adapted to your kid’s morphology, preferably with wide shoulder straps and light (empty : between 1-2 kg, full < 10% of kid’s weight).
