BEN BLANC STUDIO for CARDBOARDESIGN // cardboard shark, puppet tv and crocodile

De nouveaux produits conçus par Ben Blanc pour Cardboardesign ont été lancés lors du NYIGF (New-York International Gift Fair) : une jolie cloison mobile, un set d’animaux pour chats qui serait terrible dans une chambre d’enfants (chiens, lapin et crocodile) ainsi qu’un requin & TV de marionnettes pliables permettant aux enfants d’assembler, peindre, dessiner et s’amuser. Tous sont faits aux US sans produits chimiques, à partir de carton recyclé et recyclable.

New products designed by Ben Blanc for Cardboardesign have been released at the NYIGF (New-York International Gift Fair) : a nice room divider, an animal set for cats that would be great in a kid’s room (dogs, rabbit and crocodile) and a fold up shark & Puppet TV that allows kids to assemble, paint, draw and play. All of them are made in America from chemical free, recycled and recyclable cardboard.

Just another toy est le fruit de la première collaboration de Sara Ribbenstedt et Matilda Dominique pour leur thèse à l’Ecole de Textiles de Borås. Ce jouet en trois-dimensions est constitué de cubes de mousse habillés de tissus à motifs différents et permet aux enfants de chercher et trouver des formes spécifiques à l’objet selon l’utilisation qu’ils veulent en avoir. Les deux designers ont fait appel au célèbre fabricant suédois Offecct pour réaliser un prototype ; on attend maintenant sa commercialisation après quelques expositions à Borås, Göteborg et Stockholm.

Just another toy is the result of the first collaboration between Sara Ribbenstedt and Matilda Dominique for their thesis at the School of Textiles in Borås. This three-dimensional toy consists of foam rubber cubes dressed in fabrics with various patterns and allows kids to try and find specific object shapes according to what use they want it to have. The two designers appealed to the famous swedish manufacturer Offecct so as to make a prototype ; we are now waiting for this distribution after some exhibitions in Borås, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

NINOMIYA YASUAKI'S // colorwings

Dans de parfaites conditions, ces avions Colorwings peuvent voler jusqu’à 275 mètres ! Incroyable, non ? Selon A+R, chaque planeur est le résultat de centaines d’heures de recherches et développement par le Dr. Yasuaki Ninomiya. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour monter un avion est inclus ; le papier est recouvert d’adhésif à certains emplacements spécifiques, aucune colle n’est donc nécessaire et l’assemblage est super simple.

Under perfect conditions, these Colorwings planes can fly as far as 300 yards ! Amazing, no ? According to A+R, each glider is a result of hundreds of hours of research and development by Dr. Yasuaki Ninomiya. Everything you need to build a plane is included ; it requires no glue as the paper is coated with adhesive in specific places, making them very easy to assemble.
