KAPTEIN ROODNAT // playground for the elementary school De Paradijsvogel, Ypenburg (NL)

Kaptein Roodnat, studio de design basé à Amsterdam, a conçu une aire de jeux pour l’école primaire De Paradijsvogel aux Pays-Bas, en envahissant la cour et quelques salles avec plusieurs centaines de mètres d’un tube vert vif et en transformant la structure en différentes propositions de jeux. Marleen Kaptein & Stijn Roodnat ont aussi collaboré au projet « School Zone » à l’Urban Academy de New York avec la Martinez Gallery et se consacrent à des concepts design socialement responsables.

Kaptein Roodnat, based-Amsterdam design studio, designed a playground for the elementary school De Paradijsvogel in The Netherlands, by overrunning the schoolyard and some rooms with several hundred meters of a bright green tube and turning structure into different ways to play. Marleen Kaptein & Stijn Roodnat also contributed to project « School Zone » at Urban Academy of New York with Martinez Gallery and are committed to socially responsible design concepts.

L. McCOMBER ARCHITECTS // suspended platform bed

Voici une superbe mezzanine des Architectes L. McComber pour créer une chambre de nouveau-né dans un loft de 65 m2 à Montréal. La mezzanine est faite en contre-plaqué de sapin incurvé et tubes d’acier. On adore vraiment toutes ces essences de bois associées au style industriel des murs en briques et des lignes de métal.

Here is a superb suspended platform bed by L. McComber Architects so as to create a newborn baby room in a 700 square foot loft in Montreal. The platform is made of curved fir plywood and tubular steel. We really really love all these various wood essences combined with the industrial style of brick walls and metal lines.

Bubbletecture M, projet du studio d’architecture de Shuhei Endo pour le jardin d’enfant Maihara situé à Shiga (Japon), a été pensé comme un open space modulable pour stimuler l’imagination des enfants, mais aussi pour adapter l’espace nécessaire à l’activité : jeu, sieste, déjeuner, dessin, etc…

Bubblecture M, project by Shuhei Endo‘s architecture studio for the Maihara kindergarten located in Shiga (Japan), was designed as an open space that permits great freedom in stimulating kids imagination and adapting necessary space to activity as well : game, nap, lunch, drawing, etc…
