Born from the imaginations of François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice, « Les Machines de l’Île » project is a blend of the invented worlds of Jules Verne, the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and the industrial history of Nantes (France), on this exceptional site of the former shipyards. After « the Great Elephant » and « the Machines Gallery« , a marine worlds carrousel rising nearly 25 m high and 20 m in diameter will be built on Loire edges, near the slipways. It will feature 27 moving underwater creatures on three levels: the ocean floor, the depths, sea and boats. Delivery scheduled for Spring 2010… Can’t wait to see this !
